Taxes & Payments

Property taxes help fund essential services and infrastructure in the Town of Lampman, including road maintenance, emergency services, waste management, and community programs. This page provides information on tax rates, due dates, and payment options.

Property Taxes​

Each year, property owners in the Town of Lampman receive a Tax Notice, which includes:

 

  • Municipal Taxes – Used to fund local services, roads, and municipal operations.

  • Education Property Taxes – Collected on behalf of the provincial government for schools.

  • Other Levies – May include special charges for services like local improvement projects.​

 

Tax notices are mailed out in June, and payment is due by December 31. Late payments may be subject to penalties.

Payment Options

We offer several convenient ways to pay your taxes:

  • Online Banking: Available through most major banks. Search for "Town of Lampman" as a payee.

  • In-Person: Visit the Town Office during business hours to pay by cash, cheque, debit or credit.

    • NOTE: A 3% SURCHARGE APPLIES TO ALL CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS.​

  • Mail: Send a cheque payable to "Town of Lampman" along with your tax notice.

  • E-Transfer: Contact the Town Office for details on sending an e-transfer.

Discounts & Penalties

  • Early Payment Discount: Pay between January 1 and August 31 to receive a 4% discount. Pay by September 30 to receive a 2% discount.

  • Late Payment Penalty: Taxes unpaid between January 1 and January 31 will incur a 5% penalty; taxes unpaid between February 1 and February 28 will incur a 10% penalty.

Tax Certificates & Receipts
  • Tax Certificates: Available for a fee if you need official confirmation of your property tax status.

  • Receipts: If you require a receipt for payment, please request one when making your payment.
